  • The Workday OPAL Product Director / Program Manager will oversee a team of approximately 40 professionals supporting Workday Financial Management and Purchasing modules within a large and complex public sector environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving business efficiencies, optimizing system capabilities, and ensuring alignment between Workday initiatives and organizational goals.
  • The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Workday Financial systems, enterprise application management, public sector operations, and cross-functional leadership. This role requires strong expertise in Workday configuration, integrations, reporting, optimization, and strategic roadmap development, as well as the ability to lead large-scale implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder engagement, project management, and leadership capabilities while serving as the primary liaison between business and technical teams.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree and/or Workday certifications (MBA, Workday Certification, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial systems management, including: Workday system configuration, System integration, Enterprise application optimization, post-implementation support
  • In-depth knowledge of: Workday Financial Management, Workday Purchasing and additional Workday modules
  • Experience with: Workday Studio, Workday Integrations, Workday Reporting, Enterprise system integrations
  • Strong understanding of: Public sector finance operations, Purchasing processes, Regulatory compliance requirements, Data governance and security standards
  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within a large governmental, municipal, or complex public-sector environment.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Workday implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing Workday product strategies and enterprise roadmaps.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
