Job Summary
As a WordPress Web Developer at LPI, Inc., you will work alongside our Marketing team to maintain, optimize, and develop current websites, new websites, and new product pages across our brands, including WhisperOutdoor.com. You will be responsible for managing and improving our WordPress websites to ensure they are highly functional, user-friendly, secure, fast, and search engine optimized.
This role requires strong proficiency in WordPress development, WooCommerce, SEO, analytics, and web performance optimization, as well as a strong understanding of the retail and eCommerce customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, security, and availability.
- Support ongoing development and optimization of WhisperOutdoor.com and other company websites.
- Implement WordPress optimization techniques to improve site speed and performance.
- Customize and configure WooCommerce for eCommerce solutions, including managing plug-ins and WooCommerce optimizations.
- Conduct SEO optimization to enhance search engine rankings and visibility.
- Perform both front-end and back-end WordPress development.
- Implement and optimize customer journey mapping, SEO, and analytics using tools such as Google Analytics, GTM, and AvaTax.
- Utilize JavaScript, MySQL/SQL, PHP, and other coding languages to create dynamic web pages and applications.
- Design and code WordPress web pages using HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage web hosting and DNS configurations.
- Integrate and manage Salesforce for customer relationship management.
- Develop and implement A/B tests to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Ensure websites are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to align web development projects with business goals, website improvements, and marketing strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
- Stay current with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills and Proficiencies
- Minimum of 2 years of WordPress administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with WooCommerce customization and management.
- Proven experience with WordPress optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL/SQL.
- Significant experience with web hosting environments and server management.
- Strong understanding of SEO optimization practices.
- Experience with customer journey mapping.
- Experience with Google Analytics, GTM, and AvaTax.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Salesforce experience.
- Web design and coding experience.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video design, or animation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ideal Qualifications
- Retail or eCommerce experience.
- Experience with Gravity Forms, WP Engine, DNS, PHP, and Elementor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of creativity.
- Ability to think outside the box and conduct A/B testing.
- Understanding of multi-unit retail operations, quick turnaround times, and the customer experience/journey.
