Wood Assembler

Job Summary

Looking for a Wood Assembler who can accurately measure materials and build wood components using hand and power tools. This role involves reading simple drawings, preparing parts, and assembling products with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure materials accurately using a tape measure down to 1/16".
  • Assemble wood parts and fixtures according to drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare parts for production and ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Operate tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, and clamps.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Support general shop tasks as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16".
  • Ability to read basic assembly drawings.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with wood components.
  • Ability to lift and handle plywood sheets.
  • Basic computer use for accessing files or recording work.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in woodworking, fixture assembly, or light manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with inspecting parts for accuracy.
  • Ability to work well with a team and communicate clearly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
