Aurora University (AU) seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant for Women’s Lacrosse. The Graduate Assistant will assist the head coach while pursuing a master’s degree at Aurora University. Candidates must be accepted into a graduate program at AU. This position is designed to align with the length of the candidate’s graduate program and includes tuition remission, potential stipend, and valuable coaching and recruiting experience. Aurora University Women’s Lacrosse competes in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. - Assist the head coach with planning and implementing practices
- Coordinate team travel
- Recruit prospective student-athletes
- Support fundraising efforts
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Acceptance into a graduate program at Aurora University
- Previous playing experience in lacrosse required
- Coaching experience at the high school or club level preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Desire to coach collegiate women’s lacrosse
Work Hours:Expected equivalent of 40 hours per week; however, days and hours may vary based on team schedule, competitions, and recruiting demands. Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be considered if the candidate can demonstrate the ability to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the role off-site.
Special Requirements:- A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets institutional requirements is required
Compensation includes full tuition for the master's program and $5,000.00 stipend.
