Wholesale Mortgage Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for routing mortgage loan files through processing systems and obtain information needed from mortgage brokers to assist in completing a file for credit approval and closing; Complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act.

DUTIES

• Communicate with processors, underwriters, account executives and mortgage brokers to assemble file for underwriting;
• Pre-screen loan files and ensure that all of the necessary documentations are in file for loan submission;
• Review accuracy of loan pricing and fees on lock request form from mortgage brokers before submitting to lock desk;
• Review items needed on conditional approval and follow-up with mortgage brokers;
• Obtain and verify all Prior-To-Document and funding conditions and submit for review;
• Maintain a pipeline of loans and is responsible for the timely and compliant flow of loans until closing;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-3 years of wholesale mortgage lending experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Computer literate
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of EnCompass preferred
• Bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred
