Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.

The Subscription Finance (“SF”) team sits within the Asset Management vertical of CIB's Financial Institutions group, and provides capital to private equity funds and asset managers through structured credit facilities and other financing solutions.

SF is seeking a Vice President for a new role that will be responsible for the business’ risk modeling and advanced quantitative analytics needs.  More specifically, the responsibilities of this newly-created position will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Leading business-specific analytics in connection with stress testing (CCAR) and requests by risk or business leadership for stress/sensitivity/scenario testing; developing, implementing, and maintaining any necessary models and/or tools in support of the foregoing.
  • Ongoing development of SF’s Monte Carlo rating model (i.e., serving the Developer role for the model, leading future enhancements, maintaining the model’s development documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, and engaging with stakeholders in Corporate Model Risk, CIB Model Governance, and Technology as part of the foregoing).
  • Oversight and maintenance of any end-user computing tools used by the business.
  • Driving the future development of cash flow and other models in connection with expanded lending and capital markets initiatives. Related work may include reverse engineering precedent transactions and studying pertinent rating agency methods and criteria.
  • Supporting SF’s commitment to risk management and operational efficiency by championing continuous improvement in policies, procedures and tools employed by the business.
  • Contributing to SF’s overall portfolio & risk management efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business, social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
  • Familiarity with the private equity fund finance, structured finance and/or capital markets sectors
  • Knowledge of CECL, CCAR and/or IFRS-9 standards
  • Knowledge and experience with development of credit risk or loss forecasting models
  • Ability to code, develop models or perform analytics using Python, SAS, SQL or similar data analytics tools
  • Exceptional work ethic and ability to meet meaningful deadlines with limited direction and oversight
  • Ability to assess and determine when to raise concerns and escalate
