Welder – Stainless Steel MIG | Custom Fabrication

We are actively seeking an experienced Welder to join a stable and growing manufacturing team in Waconia, MN. This role focuses on custom stainless steel MIG welding for heavy‑duty equipment used in the fertilizer industry. If you enjoy hands‑on, non‑repetitive work and take pride in building one‑of‑a‑kind products, this is an excellent opportunity.

You’ll help build rugged, custom equipment designed for demanding agricultural environments, including:

• Blenders and mixers
• Bucket elevators
• Conveyors
• Rotary drums
• Custom fertilizer bins and tanks

This is custom fabrication work, not production‑line welding.

• Perform stainless steel MIG welding on custom fertilizer bins and industrial equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Weld using .035 – .045 flux‑core/hardwire MIG
• Weld 1/16” to 1/4” gauge mild steel and stainless steel (pipe, sheet, plate, and channel)
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Perform custom welds that require working inside, around, and on tanks
• Maintain quality and safety standards on every project

• Welding certification, welding diploma or equivalent hands‑on MIG welding experience
• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints
• Experience welding stainless steel preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding positions
• Comfortable working in a fabrication environment with varied positioning

• Laid‑back, team‑oriented shop
• Focus on quality and craftsmanship, not production quotas
• Custom projects that change regularly—no repetitive builds
• Expect to work in a variety of positions, including bending, kneeling, and crawling as needed

This is a Permanent position based out of Mayer, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
