Welder - $40/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a MIG Welder on a 6-month contract with the potential for a direct hire. We have two openings on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with expected overtime of 10 hours per week. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating large gas tanks and bumpers for mining trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding and fabrication for heavy-duty equipment components.
  • Produce large steel gas tanks and bumpers for mining trucks.
  • Ensure welds meet safety and structural standards.
  • Read and interpret metric blueprints.
  • Operate in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and climbing as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in MIG welding.
  • Proficiency in reading metric blueprints.
  • Experience in steel fabrication.
  • Ability to produce high-quality welds on steel.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in welding components for cement trucks is a plus.
  • Possession of steel-toed boots and a welding hood.

Work Environment

The work environment involves physically demanding tasks such as climbing, crouching, and standing for extended periods. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots and a welding hood, is required. The role involves working with large steel components for mining equipment. 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm with 10 hours of OT per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
