Fluxcore Welder / Fitter

Job Description

Join our team at a dynamic steel fabrication facility, where you will utilize your skills in structural steel fitting and flux core welding. As a Welder/fitter, you will be expected to have proficiency in reading tape measures to the 1/16th of an inch and demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Your role will include welding on structural steel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural steel fitting duties.
  • Execute flux core welding tasks.
  • Read and interpret tape measures accurately to the 1/16th of an inch.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Fabrication
  • Blueprint reading
  • Welding (flux core)
  • Fitting and structural steel work
  • Proficiency with hand tools and tape measures
  • Experience with stainless steel, sheet metal, and carbon steel

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with pulse mig and aluminum welding
  • Mechanical and construction knowledge
  • AWS certification is a plus
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
