Welder

Truck manufacturer in Ephrata is looking for Welders on 1st shift. Working Monday - Thursday with possible overtime on Friday mornings. This is a direct hire opportunity through the company!

Pay Range: $24-27/hr

Schedule: 5:30am - 4pm (Monday - Thursday)

Job Description

This role performs a wide range of welding and fabrication tasks using MIG and TIG processes, arc welders, and oxygen/acetylene torches to produce high-quality components and assemblies. The Welder I and II interpret blueprints and installation drawings, fabricate parts from raw stock, and complete welds that meet AWS 3G/4G standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to self-check work, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tack and bead welds using arc welders and electrode rods in accordance with AWS 3G/4G standards.
• Operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together, and remove slag.
• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as needed, being proficient in at least one process.
• Select appropriate electrodes, holders, and welding parameters, and regulate current and time to achieve proper weld quality.
• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, installation drawings, and detailed operator instructions.
• Fabricate components from raw stock and follow detailed fabrication and assembly instructions..
• Rotate and learn within various welding areas as needed to support production.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines to ensure proper operation.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators, for extended periods when necessary.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of related welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG or TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1, with practice time provided before testing.
• Strong ability to read and comprehend blueprints, including weld specifications, at a high level.
• Ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.
• Skilled in using measurement tools such as tape measures accurately.
• Self-motivation and the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-lit shop environment that is kept organized through consistent 5S practices. Work stations are cleaned and organized daily, with dedicated time at the end of each shift to ensure the area is reset for the next day. The facility is not fully climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ephrata, PA.

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ephrata,PA.

This position is anticipated to close on May 8, 2026.
