Primary Function
As part of our team of specialists, you are responsible for helping the Banker win new clients and deepen and strengthen existing client relationships through advising on investment solutions. You will provide Mexican clients with advice and cross asset class execution including equities, fixed income, derivatives, alternatives, and offer recommendations according to changing market conditions; You will understand local portfolios, economic environment and trends in Mexico to advice clients on how global macro trends affect their asset allocation, investment goals and risk profile.
- You will conduct investment reviews with clients to validate the clients' current investment objectives and prepare recommendations of appropriate investment products
- You will provide clients with institutional service, advice, and cross asset class execution including equities, fixed income, derivatives, alternatives, and offer recommendations according to changing market conditions
- Analyze, construct and manage investment portfolios, advising clients on asset allocation, tactical trading, portfolio rebalancing and hedging strategies.
- Develop investment policy statements and advise on asset allocation
- Closes sales of complex investment products
- Focus on qualified purchaser clients and act as primary resource for investment communication
- Build excellent working relationships with internal clients
- Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures regarding securities transactions and code of conduct
- Support coordination of sales effort with Capital Advisors, Trust Officers and Wealth Advisors
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- In depth experience and/or knowledge of hedge funds, private equity and alternative investments
- Able to execute trades smoothly and seamlessly and tasked with managing brokerage activity
- Sales experience including: profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
- Conducts operations within FINRA and other regulatory agency guidelines and requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, but not limited to: credit, deposits, trust and financial planning
- Ability to work in a team based environment
Position Requirements
- 10+ years experience in Private Banking or Financial Services industry
- Ideal candidate has prior experience providing complex investment solutions to Ultra High Net Worth families and/or individuals
- Combination of buy and sell-side experience preferred
- Expertise with asset allocation, trading, and portfolio construction
- Experience using quantitative and technical applications with the purpose to translate complex investment ideas into simple, practicable forms is necessary
- FINRA Licenses 7, 66 required
- Bachelors degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
