SUMMARY
Join a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering team delivering design and consulting services for major infrastructure initiatives. In this role you’ll support hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) planning and design across roadway, bridge, dam safety, flood resiliency, and stormwater projects—and contribute to site/civil design for transportation-related facilities such as maintenance yards, commuter facilities, substations, and airports. You’ll work under the guidance of licensed engineers with a hybrid office/work-from-home schedule and clear pathways for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and calibrate hydraulic and hydrologic models; evaluate design alternatives and produce preliminary and final designs for drainage systems.
• Complete roadway drainage calculations and supporting hydrologic analyses for transportation improvements.
• Prepare stormwater management analyses addressing water quantity, quality, and groundwater recharge; perform surface-water and hydraulic modeling.
• Assemble soil erosion and sediment control plans and reports; support acquisition of stormwater-related permits.
• Create site layouts; prepare grading designs and detailed site plans with construction details.
• Produce construction specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies to advance permitting.
• Support engineering services during construction as needed.
