Washer and Dryer Operator

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Washer and Dryer Operator for our Laundry department. The Washer & Dryer Operator is responsible for operating industrial laundry equipment to clean, dry, and prepare hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. This role ensures all laundry is processed efficiently, meets hotel quality standards, and supports housekeeping operations by maintaining a steady supply of clean linens.

You’ll ensure a constant supply of fresh, clean linens, and towels, that guests and associates rely on every day. Your efficiency and attention to detail directly enhance comfort, cleanliness, and the overall experience of every stay.

Key Responsibilities

Operates commercial washing machines, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently ensuring proper weight limits and cycle settings.
Load and unload washes according to standards with maximum pounds per load up to 250 pounds.
Wash and dry all specialty linens, towels, rags, inventory needed for resort.
Sort all hotel linen according to type, color, size, etc.
Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, or wear and report issues to supervisors.
Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance issues promptly.
Cleans and unloads laundry chutes.
Assist housekeeping or other departments with laundry-related needs when required.
Maintain clean work area. Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor and in designated areas on a daily basis.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a laundry facility with heat, humidity, and machine noise.
Requires standing for extended periods and frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
Minimum weightlifting is 50 pounds and up to 250 pounds.
Exposure to laundry related chemicals such detergent, bleach and stain removers.
