Day Shift Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker – Shift 1 plays a key role in supporting a large manufacturing campus by accurately processing orders, transporting materials, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. You will use tablets, computers, and RF scanners to manage inventory, perform shipping and receiving tasks, and ensure materials and tools are prepared and delivered where they are needed. Over time, you will also train into specialized factory support roles that require careful attention to detail and extensive walking inside a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use tablets and computers to access, review, and process orders accurately.
  • Work throughout the campus to transport materials and supplies between warehouse, stockroom, and factory areas.
  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including unloading and loading materials and products.
  • Receive orders, verify accuracy, and deliver materials throughout the facility in a timely manner.
  • Pick, pack, package, and label products and materials according to established procedures.
  • Use RF scanners and RF scan guns to track inventory, perform order pulling, and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (including sit-down forklifts) after appropriate training and certification.
  • Palletize, stock, and organize materials in warehouse and stockroom locations to support efficient distribution.
  • Support warehouse inventory control and distribution by conducting counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning specific tool equipment as required.
  • Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds safely and consistently.
  • Follow all site, safety, and operational policies and procedures at all times.
  • Train for Warehouse Stockroom responsibilities outside of the factory and, over time, cross-train into Factory Support roles such as FOUP Wash and Reticle Rover.
  • Perform factory support tasks that involve extensive walking, handling sensitive materials, and working in a cleanroom environment while wearing a full protective suit.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders, inventory, and cleanroom processes.

Essential Skills

  • Previous warehouse experience, including order picking, picking and packing, and warehouse distribution.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including unloading, loading, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills, including working with tablets and computers.
  • Experience with spreadsheets to enter, track, and review data.
  • Ability to use RF scanners or RF scan guns for inventory control and order pulling.
  • Experience with warehouse inventory control and stocking.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a 12-hour shift when in factory support roles.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory, labeling, and cleanroom tasks.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment while following detailed procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts, including sit-down forklifts; willingness to complete advanced forklift training.
  • Background in warehouse stockroom operations and materials handling.
  • Experience working with inventory systems and order pulling tools.
  • Willingness to train into cleanroom factory support roles such as FOUP Wash and Reticle Rover.
  • Ability to work effectively across both warehouse and factory environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability in meeting daily workflow expectations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite role on Shift 1, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work takes place in both warehouse and factory environments on a large, high-tech manufacturing campus. The pace is fast and safety-focused, with strict adherence to site policies and procedures. You use tablets, computers, RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment to perform daily tasks. The role requires extensive walking and standing, especially in factory support positions, and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. When working in the warehouse and stockroom, you wear steel or composite safety shoes that cover the ankles, along with casual but safety-conscious workwear. For factory support roles, you work inside the factory in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a full protective “bunny suit” and remaining on your feet for most of the day. Good quality walking shoes are important for factory support duties, while above-ankle steel-toe footwear is required when supporting warehouse operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rio Rancho, NM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
