The General Production Warehouse Worker is responsible for unloading/loading trucks and receiving/shipping trucks. Filling out all applicable paperwork correctly.
Duties & Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):
• Completes assignments as needed to ensure shipping and receiving needs are met.
• Complete computer and scanning assignment within the VistaTrac system.
Equipment:
• May be asked to have and/or be able to obtain a Class A CDL – operate and train others to operate trailer attached shag vehicles.
• After required training general employees may be required to complete some or all the following tasks daily or when needed; forklift/pallet jack,2-way radios, and knives/box cutters.
• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Operate a shag truck safely including loading and unloading practices. Monitor for and report if found mechanical issues with shag truck and trailers.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to verbally understand and execute work Instructions.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, walk, reach. Stoop, knee, crouch, and ascending / descending stairs
• The employee may regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific visual abilities required by this job may also include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Fill out required Processing, Quality, and/or Maintenance Documents.
Work Environment:
• Exposures to inside temperatures of an average of 38 to -10 degrees depending on the work assignment and constant outside temperatures.
• The employee will encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces, wet floors, and damp areas.
