Warehouse Worker

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for efficiently moving inventory and equipment, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining the warehouse's cleanliness and orderliness. Your duties include receiving and placing items into stock locations, pulling and assembling orders, tagging materials for identification, and completing necessary documentation. You will operate forklifts, side loaders, cranes, and yard trucks to move materials and load/unload trailers. Maintaining a safe work area and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and equipment, fulfill customer orders, and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Receive, place, and return items into stock inventory locations.
• Pull and assemble orders based on work/shipping orders or documentation.
• Tag materials for identification and complete required documentation.
• Use forklifts, side loaders, cranes, and yard trucks for material movement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to sequence.
• Conduct spot checks and daily/ad hoc inventory checks for proper material tagging.
• Report any irregularities to the supervisor for direction.
• Restock material as needed.
• Drive non-DOT trucks for local deliveries and parts pick-ups occasionally.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Meet Motor Vehicle Record quality criteria as per regulations and company policy.
• Clear oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting.
• Adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in work situations.
• Basic measurement skills for performing math computations.
• Basic arithmetic skills for calculating and converting decimals and fractions.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Sound decision-making skills based on knowledge, experience, and judgment.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
• Forklift operation is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Join a small team where you can receive training on forklift operation if you do not have prior experience.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled environment handling large pieces of metal.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of O Fallon, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in O Fallon,MO.
