Join our dynamic team as a Production Worker in the toasting room, where you will play a key role in crafting wine barrels from white oak wood. This position involves working with a team toasting the barrels on the inside, prepping them over a fire to soften the wood and using machinery to shape them.
Responsibilities
With a strong reputation in the wine industry for over 18 years, our company offers a stable and profitable work environment. Enjoy the camaraderie and community spirit with quarterly company lunches or barbecues, holiday events, and field trips to wineries. When brought on permanently, employees receive full medical, dental, and vision benefits with deductible matching, ensuring minimal out-of-pocket expenses.
Work Environment
The toasting room is an open warehouse environment where temperatures can vary, becoming hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. The space is lively with multiple fires used for wood softening, making it loud at times. The production team consists of about 14 people, fostering a close-knit atmosphere where everyone interacts and contributes. Shifts run from Monday to Friday, 5 AM to 1:30 PM, with scheduled breaks to ensure adequate rest.
