Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The warehouse worker operates within a production environment to support automated packing processes. In this role, you load adhesive tubes and caps into automated machines, monitor the flow of materials, and unload finished products for boxing and palletizing. You work on your feet throughout the shift and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Load tubes of adhesive into the automated packing machines at the designated entry points.
  • Load caps into the appropriate entry point of the machines so they can be attached to the adhesive tubes.
  • Monitor the automated machines while they run to ensure a steady flow of materials and identify any basic issues that may affect production.
  • Unload completed adhesive tubes with caps attached from the end of the machines.
  • Place finished tubes into boxes in an organized and consistent manner.
  • Stack filled boxes on pallets safely and efficiently to prepare them for storage or shipment.
  • Perform general material handling tasks, including moving products and supplies as needed within the work area.
  • Assist with basic inventory-related tasks such as counting or organizing products when requested.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around automated equipment and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support safe and efficient operations throughout the shift.
  • Stand and perform repetitive loading and unloading tasks for 8–10 hours per shift.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • in picking and packing products in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Comfort working around automated production or packing machinery.
  • Capability to perform general labor and material handling tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift and perform repetitive motions.
  • Basic understanding of inventory handling and organization.
  • Attention to detail when loading materials and packing finished products.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures in a production facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with production lines and automated packing equipment.
  • Ability to work different shifts based on business needs (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).

Work Environment

This role is based in a standard manufacturing facility focused on automated packing operations. The work area is separate from the mixing department, so it is not dusty like other parts of the facility. You will stand for 8–10 hours per shift while loading and unloading machines, handling materials, and stacking boxes on pallets. The environment is production-oriented, with automated machinery, pallets, and boxed products, and requires adherence to safety protocols and appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and manufacturing setting. Multiple shifts are available, including first, second, and third shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mattawan, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
