Warehouse Worker - Forklift (East Mo 2nd Shift)

Shift: 1pm-9pm (OT & weekends)

Job Overview

This position supports a container management and racking warehouse operation. The facility processes containers and racks that previously housed parts, ensuring they are cleaned, repaired, and prepared for reuse. The role primarily focuses on forklift operation, with additional hands-on warehouse responsibilities. Operations take place in East Moline (racks) and Davenport (racks and totes).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, verifying correct containers are shipped
• Transport, stage, and organize containers and racks throughout the warehouse
• Work in process lanes removing manufacturer tags from containers and racks using a hand scanner
• Wash, load, unload, sort, stage, and scan plastic totes using an industrial washing machine
• Perform basic repairs on large plastic containers (sizes ranging from 2x2 to 8x8) using hand drills and screwdrivers
• Stand and remain active throughout the entire shift, with scheduled breaks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent forklift or general warehouse experience
• Ability to pass a forklift certification test, including:
  • Driving forward and backward through cones
  • Safely lifting and positioning pallets
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with forklift operation, loading/unloading, shipping, and receiving
• Familiarity with production or warehouse processing environments
• Willingness to work overtime up to 10-hour shifts and Saturdays as needed

Work Environment

This role requires prolonged standing and hands-on physical work. Employees regularly use forklifts, washing machines, hand scanners, and basic repair tools in a clean, well-organized warehouse setting. Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate work attire is essential to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

This is a Contract position based out of East Moline, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in East Moline,IL.
