Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials. This role supervises material handling and the duties of shipping and receiving, ensuring compliance with safety standards, inventory accuracy, and timely shipments and receipts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all material handling operations to ensure consistent, reliable material flow to manufacturing
• Manage receiving activities to ensure materials are received accurately and in a timely manner.
• Direct shipping processes to support on-time, correct delivery of materials to project sites and subcontractor partners.
• Maintain accurate inventory control through effective use of SAP and other warehouse management systems.
• Review and approve shipping and receiving documentation; resolve discrepancies and expedite critical shipments.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment; enforce safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
• Train team members on equipment use (e.g., forklifts), inventory control concepts, material handling processes, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Collaborate with purchasing, quality, and suppliers to resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Validate receipt discrepancies and partner with purchasing to ensure timely vendor payment
• Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supervisory training preferred.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, Excel, and MS Office.
• Experience with Modula AP/RS systems and forklift operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Additional logistics or supervisory training preferred.
