Warehouse Operations Lead (Supervisor)

Advanced Component Services
Chula Vista, CA

THE ROLE

Advanced Component Services is a specialized distributor for the commercial food service industry. Following our May 2026 move to a new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Chula Vista, we are looking for a Warehouse Operations Lead to be a foundational part of our team.

This is a Player-Coach role. You are not sitting in an office managing from afar; you are on the floor, leading by example, picking and packing orders while ensuring our quality and pace stay world-class.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

DAILY EXECUTION: Work alongside the team to hands-on pick, pack, and ship 100 to 300 daily orders, ranging from individual e-commerce items to large commercial pallets.

FBA SPECIALIST: Oversee the high-stakes prep and barcoding of pallets for Amazon FBA shipments. You are the final quality check to ensure our Amazon account health remains perfect.

LABOR MANAGEMENT: Monitor volume and container arrivals to scale your team. Use Instawork to pull in and manage a roster of temporary staff as demand surges.

TACTICAL PROBLEM SOLVING: Actively patrol the picking shelves to spot trip points. If you see similar parts that could be confused, you reorganize the layout or pre-package kits to prevent errors.

RETURNS OWNERSHIP: Manage the returns process using our internal Google-based tools to evaluate parts, restock inventory, or process write-offs with a discerning eye for quality.

TECHNOLOGY LOOP: Coordinate physical inventory moves and status updates with our remote teams using Microsoft Teams.

WHO YOU ARE

TACTICAL: You naturally spot errors (like a pack of 2 being picked as a single unit) and you enjoy the puzzle of warehouse efficiency.

LEADER: You can keep a temporary crew motivated, off their phones, and focused on the task at hand.

TECH-COMFORTABLE: You are proficient with computer terminals and common apps like Teams, Google Workspace, and ShipStation. You understand how technology makes your job easier.

RELIABLE: You understand that Monday is our Super Bowl and you show up ready to set the pace for the week.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

PAY: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.

RETIREMENT: Both a 401k Plan AND a 100 percent Company-Funded Cash Balance Pension Plan.

BONUS: Eligibility for a year-end bonus program that has paid out every year for the last 20 years.

HEALTH: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage with high company-paid premiums.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
