Shift : 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) or 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Job Description

  • Operate an overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads safely within the warehouse.
  • Load structural steel beams and related materials onto customer semi-trailers based on order sheets and instructions.
  • Use forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment to move materials as needed.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently to support order picking and shipping operations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and working in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with a small team of 2–3 people to complete daily workload and meet production goals.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks such as organizing materials, staging orders, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • At least 6+ months of experience operating a forklift (sit-down, stand-up, or high reach).
  • At least 6+ months of experience operating heavy equipment in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • At least 6+ months of general warehouse experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a metal distribution center that is clean and organized for this type of operation but is not temperature controlled. The indoor temperature generally reflects outdoor conditions due to frequent truck traffic in and out of the facility. The dress code requires safety-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt to ensure comfort and protection while working around heavy materials and equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
