Visual Inspector (GMP) Technician

Entry-Level Kit Packaging Technician | 1st Shift | Billerica, MA

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the labeling and packaging of vital pharmaceuticals for world-wide distribution. This critical function includes the manual and automated labeling operations, as well as the visual inspection of filled vials to ensure the highest standards of quality (pharmaceutical elegance). You will follow strict departmental SOP’s and manufacturing batch records, actively supporting a robust cGMP work environment and a strong safety culture. Success in this role requires a fast-paced work ethic combined with exceptional attention to detail.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Shift: 2nd shift M-F 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM.
• Overtime: Possibility for overtime on Fridays.
• Pay Rate: Highly competitive, ranging from $24 - $27/hr (targeting $26/hr).
• Location: 100% Onsite in Billerica, MA.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Executing manual and automated labeling and packaging of pharmaceutical kits.
• Performing meticulous visual inspection of filled vials for irregularities or defects.
• Completing all relevant paperwork following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and cGMP guidelines.
• Demonstrating knowledge of basic cGMP concepts (area clearances, product accountability, label control).
• Actively participating in continuous improvement teams and supporting team objectives.

Qualifications (Typical Minimum):

• High School Diploma/GED (or a combination of education, training, and experience).
• 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations (pharmaceutical environment preferred but not required).
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with self-motivation.
• Must pass an eye exam conducted by the nurse.
