The Women's Health Unit is a dynamic and comprehensive care environment, offering specialized services across a variety of patient needs. Our unit includes:

  • 30-bed Antepartum/Postpartum Unit

  • 18-bed Normal Newborn Nursery

  • 6-bed Intermediate/Special Care Nursery

  • 6-bed Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) Unit

  • 6-bed High-Risk Unit

  • 2-bed Labor and Delivery Triage Area

  • 2 Operating Room Suites

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate care for both low and high-risk laboring patients, including those in antepartum stages, undergoing scheduled or emergent cesarean sections, and those requiring high-risk management. This includes the care of pregnant patients with co-morbidities such as preeclampsia, diabetes, cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions, as well as care for patients with pre-term labor, multiple gestational pregnancies, and those carrying infants with congenital malformations or life-threatening conditions.

  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication among staff, patients, and family members to ensure timely and accurate information sharing regarding patient conditions and concerns. Utilize the paging system, phones, call lights, and internal information technology to maintain smooth unit operations.

  • Safety: Ensure the accuracy and security of maternal and newborn records, while maintaining high vigilance over visitor access to the unit to uphold patient safety.

  • Quality Improvement: Utilize time and resources efficiently to promote high-quality care and cost-effective outcomes.

  • Professional Development: Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by actively seeking opportunities to enhance job skills and knowledge, ensuring continued excellence in job performance.

Shift - 7:00pm - 7:30am

Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma

Compensation:

$15.50 - $20.12

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
