Visiting Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish

The Department of Spanish and Italian at the University of the South seeks applications for a one-semester Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin August 2026.

Position Appointment Details:

• One-Semester Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor appointment.

Primary responsibilities include:

The Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor will teach three elementary Spanish language courses in the fall of 2026.

A successful candidate will:

• Hold an M.A. or Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

• Possess native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.

• Demonstrate evidence of effective language teaching and familiarity with language acquisition pedagogy.
