Visiting Clinical Research Scholar - Child Neurology

The Visiting Assistant Professor will spend one year at Children’s Health/UT Southwestern to gain exposure and advanced training in pediatric neuroimmunology. This program is designed to provide clinical observation, research involvement, and professional development opportunities. The fellow will engage in clinical and translational research focusing on pediatric neuroimmunological disorders and participate in academic activities under the mentorship of faculty members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and learn advanced clinical practices in pediatric neurology under faculty supervision.
  • Participate in research project development, data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  • Attend academic conferences, grand rounds, and case discussions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gain exposure to comprehensive neurological care and innovative research.
  • Present research findings at institutional meetings and/or conferences.
  • Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including ethical research conduct and patient confidentiality.

Supervision & Mentorship:

There will be supervision by senior faculty members in the Department of Pediatric Neurology and there will be access to research and training resources at Children’s Health/UT Southwestern.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Background in neurology or pediatrics, with an interest in pediatric neuroimmunology.
  • Prior experience in clinical research or basic science research is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for effective communication and academic work.
  • Commitment to professional development and international collaboration.
