Visiting Assistant Professor - Biology

St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, beginning August 2026. St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission to educate the hearts and minds of a diverse student body that is deeply committed to social justice.
Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching undergraduate courses in introductory biology or human anatomy & physiology; additional courses may be assigned depending on the candidate's expertise. There are no formal academic advising or university service responsibilities associated with this position, but opportunities to become involved in the Department, the School of Natural Sciences, and the University will be available.
For consideration, candidates must possess a master's degree or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology or a related field. A PhD in Biology or a related field is preferred.
