The Department of Biological Sciences at Butler University invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor in Biology with an anticipated start date of August 2026. We are searching for an individual to teach non-majors and majors-level courses in genetics and/or cell biology. Typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per year. The Butler Biology Department values candidates who share our commitment to engagement and inclusion of students, faculty, and staff with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Applicants should have a master’s degree but preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. (or ABD) and a strong commitment to undergraduate education and to building an inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population. Butler cannot provide visa sponsorship for this position.
