Your New Role

The Vice President, Tours & Retail Technology is the global technology leader for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Studio Tours, Retail, and eCommerce businesses. This role is accountable for shaping thelong-termtechnology strategy, deliveringenterprise gradeplatforms, and ensuring operational excellence across amultibillion dollarglobal portfolio. Reporting to the SVP, Global Monetization & Studio Technology, the VP serves as a strategic partner to senior business leadership and isdirectly responsiblefor technology capabilities that drive guest experience, revenue generation, and operational efficiency across all owned & operated locations, licensees, and joint ventures.

Your Role Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership

  • Define and lead themultiyeartechnology strategy aligned to Tours & Retail growth, profitability, and global expansion goals

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior WBD executives, ensuring technology decisions directly support P&L performance and ROI expectations

  • Provide clear, structured communication on priorities, risks,trade-offs, and progress to executive stakeholders

Product-Led Technology Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Own the global product and platform roadmap spanning ticketing, retail systems, payments, guest engagement, supply chain, fulfillment, and operations technology

  • Prioritize and deliver initiatives based on business value, scalability, and security

  • Ensure platformsremainmodern, integrated, compliant, andhigh performingacross all business models worldwide

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead modernization efforts to reduce technical debt, simplify the ecosystem, strengthen reliability, and unlock new revenue and efficiency opportunities

  • Oversee global operational rigor, performance insights, anddata driveninvestment decisions

  • Drive digital transformation andoperating modelredesigns that position Global Tours & Retail forlong-termcompetitiveness and success

  • Promote iterative delivery, continuous learning, and measurable improvement across global teams

Financial Stewardship & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee OPEX and CAPEXbudgets, ensuring disciplined investment prioritization,accurateforecasting, andROIaligneddecisions

  • Optimizecost, reliability, and scalability across platforms,programsand resources

  • Maintain stable, secure,high performingglobal systems that support 24/7consumer facingoperations

  • Use performance insights and operational metrics to guide resource allocation, optimization, andlong-termplanning

  • Maintain strong operational rigor and ensure stable, secure,high performingsystems worldwide

Global Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • This executiveestablishesgovernance and KPIs across ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling platforms to track reliability, latency, and delivery performance. They ensure engineering execution meets enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and compliance, guaranteeing that WBD’s technology foundation isoptimizedto support advertising, affiliate, and scheduling business growth

  • Lead alargeglobal technology organization across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including internal and external workforce teams

  • Build productled delivery capability, strengthen engineering excellence, and develop internal talent pipelines in product management, agile practices, user‑centereddesignand outcome driven execution to reducelong-termvendor dependency

  • Foster a unified, inclusive,highaccountabilityculture grounded in global alignment, transparent communication, and shared business impact

Qualifications and Experience

  • Numerousyears of senior leadership experience in the media or technology sector, with a proven record of credibility, strategic vision, and executive presence

  • Extensive experiencein media and entertainment, including exposure to technology supporting Studio Tours, Theme Parks, Attractions, Retail Stores,eCommerceand/or Retail supply chain

  • Demonstrated success leading complex,high impactprograms; strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and sound judgment inhigh ambiguityenvironments

  • Exceptional communication andrelationship buildingskills, effectively influencing seniorstakeholdersand collaborating across diverse teams and functions

  • Skilled in organizational leadership, operational discipline, and guiding teams through shifting priorities infast pacedenvironments

  • Expertisein financial stewardship, including cost estimation, ROI analysis, and prioritizinglargescaletechnology investments

  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and the ability to guide teams in selecting and applyingappropriate methodologies

  • Strong technology acumen with a demonstrated commitment to staying current on emerging industry and technology trends

  • Effective vendor and partner management; experienced in negotiating and overseeing service agreements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior executives and translating complex technical topics for varied audiences

  • Bachelor’ or master’sdegree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data & Analytics) or equivalent experience

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $234,360.00 - $435,240.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
