ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President, Provider Market is responsible for managing the external provider market strategy which includes, strengthening provider relationships to secure local/regional patient base, extending the Mayo Clinic brand through provider affiliations and strategic partnerships, and expanding Mayo Clinic’s global presence through scalable platform of programs, products and services. This role involves setting the strategy and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with MCP and broader Mayo Clinic leadership. The VP collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, including enterprise medical and site directors, to identify unmet customer needs, influence solution priorities, and drive new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare provider markets, strategic planning, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
Duties include:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand and retain the client base within the Provider Market.
- Identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and drive initiatives to strengthen Mayo Clinic's position in the healthcare ecosystem.
- Design comprehensive go-to-market strategies for Provider Market offerings.
- Create innovative packaging and pricing models that align with market demands and enhance competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product positioning and differentiation.
- Collaborate with division leaders to influence solution priorities and drive innovation capabilities for advanced technologies.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Connect program within Mayo Clinic Platform. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance connectivity and interoperability of healthcare systems and data.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the value proposition of MCP's offerings.
- Oversee and drive the success of key programs, the Connect program, Insights program, Mayo Clinic Care Network and any other programs.
- Ensure programs align with overall business goals and contribute to market growth and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with finance and legal to ensure the viability of any programs.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
- Lead and manage a high-performance team, including partnership management and program management.
- Grow and develop talent within the team to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Provide department guidance to staff to develop and execute key referral and client relationship management strategies and implement aggressive sales and referral strategies that include evaluation of new market opportunities and integration of product offerings.
- Collaborate with Mayo Clinic International for support of international partners and offerings
- Provide critical oversight of Mayo Clinic relationship teams, serving as a liaison to external executive leaders.
- Establish and communicate key objectives and success measures for the partnership team, tracking progress against goals.
- Translate high-level organizational strategies into actionable innovative roadmaps and projects.
Qualifications - Master’s degree in health care administration, business administration or related field it required.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in progressively responsible leadership and management roles in a health, medical or science field is required.
- Proven ability to successfully undertake multiple initiatives simultaneously in a complex, matrix organization.
- Experience managing teams leading innovation-related methodologies - Lean Startup, Design Thinking, Customer Development
- Must have a track record of successful staff management and development, project management, business planning, project execution and bottom-line execution.
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare provider markets, with a focus on strategic planning and program development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Broad-based experience in developing strategic partnerships is required, along with well-developed skills in strategic and quantitative analysis.
- This position requires an individual with a vision to identify and capitalize on market opportunities and to accomplish aggressive goals within a comprehensive strategy.
- Must be able to communicate, partner, and interact with executives and C-suite level with the ability to inspire trust and confidence.
- Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, management, oral and written communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a growing and dynamic team through ongoing change is required.
- Must have effective decision making and effective consensus management.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of current organization and health care directions and challenges.
- Broad experience with committee and personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring.
- Frequent regional and national travel is required. Frequent international travel may be required.

Compensation DetailThe minimum starting salary for the position may range from $327,000 to $491,000. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
