Job Description
AIR Communities is hiring a Vice President of Operations to lead our expansion in Phoenix and Las Vegas, two new and strategically important markets for AIR. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of regional operations, partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution, disciplined cost management, and an exceptional resident and teammate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Business
- Execute the operational strategy for Phoenix and Las Vegas, ensuring alignment with AIR’s enterprise objectives.
- Act like an owner by driving accountability for performance, cost discipline, and results.
- Ensure all communities within the portfolio consistently meet or exceed AIR’s standards for leasing performance, resident service, and asset quality.
- Establish operational plans and processes that support scalable growth in new markets.
- Monitor performance metrics and present clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership.
- Stay current on market trends and operational best practices to position AIR for success.
Lead Others
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing operations teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Communicate with impact, creating clarity and alignment across teams and partners.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Identify talent and training needs to support organizational growth and long-term success.
Lead Self

Qualifications
What You Bring
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior operations leadership.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, manage budgets, and drive performance.
- Strong business acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reputation for integrity, credibility, and effective collaboration.

Benefits
- An expected base salary between $183,000-$240,000 plus STI & LTI. Salary will be based on experience and responsibilities.
