What is the role?
The Institute is seeking an ambitious Vice President of Development to lead the growth program and team. This is a high-impact "player-coach" role, actively managing a personal portfolio while scaling the team. You will drive your own pipeline of high-value accounts while simultaneously building, mentoring, and leading the growth team.
Responsibilities include:
- Selling new All Access Membership Accounts and program registrations to M&A teams at public and large private companies; expanding accounts with current member companies.
- Running sales processes, establishing tactics, developing new business development campaigns, and executing those programs in the market.
- Own the demand generation process to engage new leads, qualify and nurture those leads, and ultimately drive the pipeline and close new accounts.
- Serving as a senior leader for inquiries; asking thorough questions, provide a demo of the platform, and guiding prospects through a needs assessment to drive adoption.
- Leveraging KPIs and proactively adjusting strategy and tactics tailored to various personas, levels of experience, and industry.
- Working with management and the sales & marketing team to identify and capitalize on emerging market trends, themes, and opportunities for growth.
- Pushing contacts through the Buyer Lifecycle to Close Deals; lead initial calls to present the Institute’s value proposition, aligning team members around the strategy, business issues, and potential solutions.
- Attend in-person programs; develop relationships, build trust and engagement.
What are the keys to success?
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where creativity and experimentation help drive development of the organization.
Successful individuals combine a positive attitude, high energy, and curiosity with strong attention to detail and professional polish.
