As we continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking a Vice President, Marketing to lead the development of a world-class marketing function capable of supporting a rapidly scaling technology and manufacturing business operating at the forefront of autonomy.
The Opportunity
The Vice President, Marketing will be responsible for defining how Powerus is positioned in the market and how our story is communicated across customers, partners, investors, prospective employees, and broader industry stakeholders.
This is a highly strategic yet hands-on leadership role. We are looking for a builder capable of creating a modern, data-driven, AI-enabled marketing organization that can operate effectively across defense, government, public safety, industrial, and commercial markets.
The successful candidate will bring experience from high-growth technology, aerospace, defense, robotics, software, or advanced manufacturing environments and understand how to build awareness, credibility, and market leadership in highly competitive sectors.
They will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that elevates the Powerus brand, strengthens market presence, supports revenue growth, and establishes the company as a recognized leader within the future of autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's global marketing strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization capable of supporting significant growth.
- Define and evolve Powerus' market positioning, messaging architecture, and brand strategy.
- Develop compelling narratives that resonate across defense, government, public safety, critical infrastructure, and commercial audiences.
- Lead all brand development, visual identity, content strategy, demand generation, product marketing, digital marketing, event marketing, and campaign execution activities.
- Own the annual calendar of trade shows, conferences, industry events, customer engagements, demonstrations, and strategic marketing initiatives.
- Develop integrated campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
- Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment between market strategy and business objectives.
- Oversee website strategy, social media presence, digital channels, marketing technology platforms, and performance analytics.
- Build a modern AI-enabled marketing function leveraging automation, agents, predictive analytics, content generation, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop customer segmentation, competitive intelligence, market analysis, and positioning strategies.
- Create marketing programs that effectively engage both government and commercial stakeholders.
- Establish measurement frameworks and reporting mechanisms to evaluate campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
- Support strategic partnerships, product launches, market expansion initiatives, and corporate growth objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
- Proven experience building and scaling marketing functions within high-growth organizations.
- Strong understanding of technology, aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, software, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success developing brand strategy, market positioning, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience supporting both government and commercial go-to-market strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, demand generation, product marketing, customer engagement, and modern marketing technologies.
- Commercially minded with a clear understanding of how marketing contributes to revenue growth and enterprise value creation.
- Highly analytical, data-driven, and performance focused.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and ambitious growth objectives.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and leadership capabilities.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Experience marketing defense, aerospace, autonomy, robotics, unmanned systems, advanced manufacturing, or dual-use technologies.
- Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid scale-up, acquisitions, or public market transitions.
- Deep understanding of government procurement environments and defense acquisition ecosystems.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and emerging technologies to transform marketing effectiveness.
- Experience creating category leadership and challenger brands within established industries.
- Familiarity with federal, state, local, allied government, and international defense markets.
- Experience managing significant event, trade show, and industry engagement programs.
