Role Description

Dorchester Capital is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its investment team. The VP will take a leading role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment decisions among credit investments and allocations to credit funds on a primary and secondary basis. This is a high-impact role and has opportunity for significant advancement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Fundamental, bottom-up research and ability to evaluate, and model cash flow, timing and returns with downside scenarios public, private and alt-credit positions including levered loans, CLO and other structured product tranches and related equities, mortgages, asset-backed debts, distressed credit, royalties, and GP-led fund restructurings, co-investments and NAV lending
  • Actively participate in sourcing including relationships with GPs, LP’s and intermediaries
  • Team player willing to mentor junior members and be positive, values-driven agent

 

Qualifications

  • More than six years of relevant investment experience, preferably at an investment bank, hedge fund, alternative asset manager, or credit-focused secondary fund
  • Understanding of credit instruments, fund structures, and LP/GP economics
  • Financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Intellectual curious
  • MBA, CFA, or other advanced degrees in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field preferred

 

Compensation

Salary range of $180,000 – $275,000 plus variable compensation, including profit participation in the Firm’s investment funds
