Company/Role Overview:

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by a Manufacturing Client to identify a VP of Finance and Administration to serve their team. This newly created position will provide leadership and effective management of the Accounting, Finance, Tax, Legal, Human Resource, and Supply Chain functions within the Companies, while assuming a primary role in assisting the President in developing a high-performance Management Team and reinforcing a professional culture and work environment. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for a person with an accounting/financial background to step into an operational leadership role.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all financial reporting and annual review and corporate tax processes; manage Accounting Department presently staffed with a Controller and two Staff Accountants.
  • Develop annual budget and cash forecast, and monitor performance and profitability goals
  • Manage all banking and financing activities
  • Serve as primary Manager in working with attorneys on all legal matters
  • Work with President in managing all customer machinery contracts, including negotiation of terms and pricing, monitoring job costs and margins, and monitoring customer receivables
  • Manage all HR processes and policies, and provide Management Team with support in recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
  • Provide oversight and support for all supply chain activities, including primary machinery vendor relationships in China and Italy
  • Provide oversight and support for the spare parts inventory management process
  • Provide oversight and support for the resale machinery process


What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum BA in Accounting or Finance
  • 15+ years of Accounting and Finance experience in public accounting or industry, with some experience in a small/medium sized business (i.e. under 500 employees); experience in either a distributorship or manufacturing business a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of communication and problem-solving skills to enable the candidate to become an effective leader of the Companies
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
