Role Purpose 

Strengthen API security by governing and enhancing security controls for safe consumer access.

Ensure robust secrets and API key protection through centralized management using Fortanix.

Improve software supply‑chain transparency and compliance through effective SBOM management.Reduce application risk by driving proactive vulnerability detection and remediation with Fortify Embed DevSecOps practices to integrate security into development workflows and accelerate secure delivery.

Role Accountability 

As API Security Platform leader, will Lead implementation & define roadmap for API security across the enterprise. Lead the solutioning, process flow & tech design for APIs to be implemented for multiple digital channels Web, Mobile App, WhatsApp and Card One.

1. Prepare for engagement reviews & able to present to executive leadership
2. Participates on multiple cross-functional Project Teams, including application project teams, to identify business processes & API that should be implemented on API platform. Person is required to understand business process and identify suitable use cases for API integrations.
3. Enable creation of innovative customer experiences on channels like Chatbot, website mobile app etc using state of the art API spec & latest technologies. 
4. Keep a tab on changing industry trends both from business and technology perspectives and bring industry first features to SBI Card.
5. Person will be responsible to setup governance processes to ensure that innovation doesn’t result in disruption of existing business features
6. Helps in strengthening the API security strategy of SBI Card using the latest tech & leveraging the right tools to meet business objectives - Lower time to market & lower total cost of ownership. 
7. Person is required to plan the development and operating budget in the API Gateway, API Security & Key Management Platforms

Measures of Success 

1. Measurable reductions in API‑related risks and zero critical security incidents for API platform
2. Adoption of API security technologies such as Fortanix KMS, Fortify SBOMs etc
3. Security controls, automation, and guardrails are integrated into development workflows, resulting in faster, more secure releases and improved developer adoption of secure‑by‑design practices.
4. Demonstrated leadership in team collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability to industry trends.

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

Expertise in API Security Standards, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Service repository, SOA-based services, SOAP, REST, WSDL. Hands on experience in Oracle Fusion 11g SOA stack and Google APIgee stack

Technical Expertise Skills:

1. Expertise in architecting, builidng and managing enterprise grade platforms for   Middleware, SOA and API Gateway
2. Expertise in architecting, builidng and managing enterprise grade platforms for API security
3. Expertise in architecting, builidng and managing enterprise grade Microservices platform for customer facing channels like WhatsApp, PULL SMS etc
4. Experience of managing large teams of senior managers and architets

Certifications: 

1. TOGAF
   1. PMP / CSM
   2. Oracle SOA Certified professional
   3. Oracle Weblogic Admin 
   4. Certified API Security Professional (CASP)
   5. SCJP/Oralce Java certificate

Competencies critical to the role

1. Should have very strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Experience in managing RPA & AI platforms - you should have good hold on managing Middleware, RPA & AI based IT platforms. Person should have experience of working with Oracle SOA, SF A.Ware, Spring Boots2 Micro services, Google APIGEE, NICE & UiPath RPA platform
3. People Management - You should be able to manage mid to large size teams of direct reportees from SBI Card and partner employees
4. Program and project management - You should have an experience of defining IT processes, cross-platforms IT solutions and delivery of projects in Middleware, API & API security through a vendor/partner delivery team. 
5. Domain understanding and technology solutioning - you should have good hold on creditcards domain and also strong technology skillset to provide solution for Middleware, API & API Security based IT projects. 
6. Strong analytical skills - strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles
7. Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
8. Stakeholders management - You need to effectively manage business and IT stakeholders through regular reviews and effective communication. You need to play as a strong team-member who can collaborate and lead large to midsized deliveries

Qualification  

1. B.E / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science/IT. 
2. MBA/PGDM  from Tier 1/2 Institutes.
