About You:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the hospital by accurately preparing, dispensing, and managing medications for patients. This role works closely with veterinarians and technical staff to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care.

The Pharmacy Technician serves as a key point of contact between the medical team and the pharmacy, ensuring prescriptions are processed efficiently, inventory is maintained, and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards is upheld.

Responsibilities include answering and addressing pharmacy phone calls, processing medication refill requests, medication and prescription food preparation and dispensing, communicating with veterinary staff regarding prescription orders, maintaining pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper labeling and documentation, supporting medical staff with medication requests, and contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow within the hospital.

Anticipated Schedule:
This is a part-time position:
Saturday and Sunday - 2pm-12am


Compensation:
$19.00-$22.00 an hour dependent on experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medications, dosing, and terminology, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and controlled substance handling is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively support internal teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in veterinary pharmacy care.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
