Churchland Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced
Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing assistants with a strong foundation in client communication, patient handling, and exam room support, who thrive on building meaningful connections with clients and their pets.
In this role, you will: - Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow, including obtaining accurate patient histories and safely restraining dogs and cats.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records with a strong focus on clear and thorough charting.
- Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
- Support the veterinarian during outpatient exams and procedures, including proper patient handling and assistance as needed.
This position is
ideal for team members who excel in client communication, organization, and creating a positive, supportive experience for both patients and clients. Candidates should be confident in exam room flow and client interaction, while being open to continued training and development.
Schedule: This is a full-time
FLEXIBLE position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**: - Compensation: $15 - 18 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set: - 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Exam room flow and outpatient support
- Phlebotomy and SQ injections
- Laboratory sample collection
- Inpatient care
- Medical record keeping and entering medical charges
