Join Columbus Humane and practice high-impact, mission-driven medicine while helping shape the next generation of veterinarians. This unique role blends clinical care, shelter medicine, and teaching through our partnership with The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for shelter and community animals
- Perform spay/neuter, dental, and soft tissue surgeries
- Support population health and complex case management in a diverse shelter environment
- Teach and mentor veterinary students as adjunct faculty (clinical rotations & externships)
- Collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven medical team
- Contribute to cruelty investigations through medical documentation and expert input

Requirements
What You Bring
- DVM/VMD degree and eligibility for Ohio licensure
- Interest or experience in shelter medicine, surgery, or community care
- Passion for animal welfare and client communication
- Collaborative mindset and interest in teaching/mentorship
