Overview

Seeking an ADAS Validation/Test Engineer to support prototype vehicle integration, validation, and testing activities for commercial vehicles. The engineer will be responsible for evaluating vehicle functionality, reliability, durability, and performance of ADAS and vehicle control systems through hands-on testing and root cause analysis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support prototype vehicle builds, integration, and validation activities.
  • Plan and execute vehicle-level testing for ADAS features, vehicle controls, durability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and implement test methods, test procedures, and validation plans.
  • Configure and operate data acquisition and vehicle diagnostic tools.
  • Analyze vehicle test data and perform failure investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues during testing.
  • Utilize CAN communication tools for network monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Support vehicle instrumentation, sensor validation, and data collection activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to engineering teams.
  • Coordinate ride-and-drive events, field testing, and validation workshops.
  • Maintain test documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field with 1+ years of experience, or 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in ADAS validation, vehicle testing, automotive testing, or commercial vehicle engineering.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, CAN communication, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and test execution.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, J1939, Vector tools, or similar vehicle network analysis tools.
  • Experience with eDAQ or other vehicle data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Collision Mitigation Systems.
  • HV3 certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with commercial vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, or automotive prototype testing.
