Job Duties:

The Virginia Beach Fire Department is looking for a Media and Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2026.

Duties may include;

  • Drafting media content.
  • Creating visual reports.
  • Organizing data/analytics for presentation purposes.
  • Graphics design.
  • Creating marketing materials

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative suite.

Schedule & Hours:

Candidates typical work week will be 30 hours per week for a 3-6 months long internship. Flexibility for school schedules is allowed. The applicant is responsible to provide their own housing and transportation to and from work during the internship.

Expected Duration:

June 2026 – August 2026 (3-6 months long depending on department needs and student schedules).

Required Education:

Candidates pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphics Design, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled student (in an associate's, bachelor's, master's degree or PhD program) and be in good academic standing as determined by the school, college, or university.
