Valve Tester (Helper)

Shift/Hours:Monday – Friday, 5/10s, weekends as needed

Pay Rate:$20-22/hr

Location:Freeport, TX

Experience:6+ months

Valve Tester (Helper) Responsibilities:

• Transport and carry valve testing equipment within plant facility
• Setup equipment and assist in the field testing of valves
• Document defects or abnormalities detected
• Print and tag labels to tested valves
• Maintain work areas and equipment

Valve Tester (Helper) Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Mechanically Inclined, competent with hand tools
• Able to efficiently climb stairs and ladders and comfortable working at heights
• Good communication with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current TWIC card or ability to get TWIC card within a week of assignment
• Active Texas Drivers License
• Will need to complete or have recently completed Basic Plus via Safety council

• STEEL TOED BOOTS
• FRC PANTS AND FRC LONG SLEEVE SHIRT (TUCKED IN, WHEN ON-SITE) OR FRC COVERALLS
• SAFETY GLOVES
• SAFETY GLASES (SIDESHIELDS ON PRESCRIPTION GLASSES)
• HARDHAT
