Who you are:
- Have at least a ninth grade education.
- Have a minimum of three (3) months previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club setting preferred; will train.
- Restaurant / senior living or equivalent food service experience
Summary:
The Utility Technician performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies.
Job Expectations:
- Sets up the dish and pot washing area
- Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots, dishes and utensils
- Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils
- Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
- Empties trash containers as required
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies
- Transports all clean and soiled linen to and from laundry
- Food cart preparation (i.e. check food temps, document temps, reheat food, correct amount of food needed, etc.)
