Utilities Locator

Insight Global has an opening for a Utilities Locator to support a large AEC partner in Powhatan, VA. This role supports underground utility projects by helping identify and mark existing infrastructure in advance of installation activities that use horizontal directional methods with pullback techniques, rather than traditional trench‑based approaches.

Role Overview

• Assist with identifying and marking underground utilities within designated project areas
• Support field teams by sharing location information to help projects progress smoothly
• Review maps, drawings, and related materials to understand utility layouts
• Communicate findings with project partners and site teams as needed
• Follow established safety guidelines and project standards while on site

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of underground utility locator experience
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with Subsite Marksman is a plus

Pay: $26-$30/hour (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hiring Method: 6 month contract to hire

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
