Utilities Horizontal Directional Driller

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Horizontal Directional Driller (HDD) to support one of our large utility engineering and construction clients in Powhatan, VA. This role focuses on installing underground utilities using horizontal directional drilling (pullback methods) rather than traditional trenching.

Role Overview:

• Operate HDD equipment to install underground utilities
• Perform drilling and pullback operations safely and accurately
• Work closely with operators, foremen, and locators
• Follow all safety and project requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with underground utility installation using a horizontal directional drill rig
• Training and hands-on experience from previous contractors
• Valid drivers license

Pay: $25-$30/hour (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hiring Method: 6 month contract to hire

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
