Job Title: UX Researcher
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Pay Rate: $70 - $72/hr.
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
Design and execute user research studies with external participants focused on software and digital product experiences
Create and execute UX research strategies, identifying new opportunities for high-impact research and driving execution
Partner closely with Design, Product Management, and Engineering leaders to shape software product strategy and ensure product excellence
Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research planning and execution
Advocate for research findings to diverse audiences through written reports, presentations, and other effective communication methods
Provide a strong user-focused point of view in product discussions, design reviews, and strategic research planning
Deliver impact by advocating for users in key business decisions
Be curious, ask questions, and challenge the status quo
Contribute to a vibrant, collaborative, and supportive team culture
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with research design using various methods, including usability studies, contextual inquiry, concept testing, and surveys
Relevant product research experience in foundational and generative research for software products
Experience across all stages of research, including scoping, planning, recruiting, execution, and reporting
Experience integrating user research into software product design and design practices
Experience working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to inform product direction
Strong communication skills
Resourceful problem-solving abilities
Bonus Qualifications
Experience conducting research on GenAI-driven software products, platforms, or services
Background or experience in complex software systems, platforms, or enterprise applications
Passion for creating high-quality, actionable insights in ambiguous and evolving problem spaces
Comfort working in fast-changing environments while shipping early versions of software products
Highly collaborative and open to learning new research approaches and deliverable formats
