Our Urgent Care team is the perfect place for assistants who thrive in a fast-paced environment, can shift gears quickly and handle the stress of critical situations with ease.Urgent Care offers patients a skillful evaluation of those unexpected, non-critical needs when their primary veterinarian is unavailable, and offers immediate care for non-life-threatening conditions. Whatyou’lldo:
Record and deliver organized rounds, discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures
Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures
Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
