Availability: 4-6 shifts per month

Eligibility: Licensed Physician Assistants (PA) or Nurse Practitioners (NP/FNP)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Physicians Urgent Care. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier medical care to our community in urgent care settings. The ideal candidate will have robust clinical skills, a patient-focused approach, and the capacity to handle a variety of medical situations with a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs; follow up on results in a timely manner.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments effectively.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, modify treatment plans as necessary, and facilitate specialist referrals.
  • Represent the clinic professionally within the medical community and to other institutions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to update clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, organize and prioritize workload efficiently, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Engage with individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
  • Adhere to standard clinical practice guidelines, including immunization and preventative health schedules.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities including but not limited to staff education, quality assurance reviews, and other relevant duties.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency department settings.
  • Current BLS certification.
