At The Benjamin School, exceptional teachers set high expectations for their students and work tirelessly to help them reach those goals. Our faculty guides students to become self-directed, independent learners who demonstrate strong academic skills and exemplary character. The Benjamin School seeks a dynamic, experienced, and student-centered Part-Time Dance Coach/Instructor to lead and grow our Upper School (Grades 9–12) dance program. This position is ideal for an energetic educator passionate about developing young dancers across multiple styles and skill levels, who thrives in both group instruction and individualized coaching. With world-class dance facilities and performance spaces, this opportunity allows the right candidate to strengthen and modernize an established program while preparing students for both performance and competition.
The successful candidate, working primarily after school, will cultivate a supportive, high-energy environment that inspires students to grow artistically, technically, and personally. The ideal candidate brings experience in dance team choreography, performance preparation, and competition, and demonstrates the ability to mentor high school students in leadership, accountability, and teamwork. Beyond technical expertise as a choreographer and dancer, the successful candidate is a thoughtful educator who enjoys working with adolescents and understands how dance functions within a broader arts curriculum. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining efficient, well-structured practices that maximize productivity while respecting broader academic and other extracurricular commitments.
