Salary:82-87K + for experienced professionals.

Location: Troy, MI or Lemont, IL


Job Summary:

The Sales Representative will be responsible for managing key accounts, fostering client relationships, and promoting automotive chemical products. This position involves splitting time between the Troy, MI and Greater Chicago (Lemont), IL areas, with regular travel to customer sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing OEM and Tier-1/2 customers.
  • Business Development: Identify new opportunities and conduct professional presentations/proposals.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with technical and management teams to support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and related documentation.
  • Operational Support: Handle basic pricing, customer portal management, and support financial collection processes.
  • Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, including the shift toward EV/Electrification and its impact on thermal management/chemicals.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a Technical field, preferred
  • Experience: 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with EDI or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and passport. Willingness to travel 25–50% (domestic and occasional international).
  • Understanding Japanese company culture and Japanese language skill is plus.
